The author of this book is Arthur C. Clarke.The book titled Rendezvous with Rama when a group of people went to space to save earth from meteorites. It all happened on year 2077, a huge ball of fire appear in the sky of Europe. After a few seconds, the fireball(a Huge meteorite) wad brighter than the sun. Soon after with out warning, the meteorite broke up in the sky of Austria. It than began to crash, each crash wad louder than a thunder. Soon after, the sky was completely cover in dust. Project Spaceguard was developed to prevent huge meteorite to hit the earth. In the year 2131, human live beyond earth, people are living on Mercury, Mars,Jupiter and Luna(the earth's moon)and and Ganymede, Titan and Triton, three of the larger moon which orbited other planets. Together they used the other plants to search for in coming meteorites heading towards earth and tried to stop it from hitting against earth. Suddenly an object wad discovered outside the orbit of Jupiter. Scientists named that object 'Rama'. It was the biggest meteorite and was not traveling on a regular orbit. When space-probe took photos of Rama, the pictures shows that it is a dark grey cylinder, 50 kilometres...
